Low line, middle line or high line enclosure?

One of the most important decision to make is the right height of the enclosure. Low pool enclosure is suitable where you don't want to disturb the character of the garden. Some of the enclosures can even be so close to the surface that you basically don't even notice them. For example pool enclosure Terra is one of the lowest enclosure.  Whenever you want to go for a swim, you can simply slide the pool enclosure off. The side entrance is used to enter the higher pool enclosure. Under some types of low enclosures you can swim comfortably. For example, under the Elegant Neo pool enclosure. Medium-high enclosures are even more suitable for swimming and free movement in the pool. If you want to spend more leisure time with your family and friends near the pool, a high pool enclosure is ideal. It allows you to move around the pool and no rain, wind or bad weather can deter you from water and leisure activities. High enclosures provide maximum comfort in activities around the pool and as well as in the pool.

Pool Enclosure dimensions and the number of segments

Low line enclosures have dimensions only slightly larger than the pool itself. For high enclosures, but also for medium enclosures, it is advisable to reserve a slightly larger space so that you can sit and relax by the pool. The space under a high pool enclosure can also accommodate garden furniture. Enclosures are constructed with telescoping sliding segments. Depending on the option you choose, the segments can move independently in both directions or as one synchronized telescoping system.

Next, you need to decide how many segments (parts) the enslosure should be made of. One segment is usually 2 metres wide. For a 6 metre pool there are 3 segments. The number of segments will then correspond to the number of groundrails on which the segments slide. We only supply safe, flat rails, with a height of 15 mm, which are gentle to your feet. Ideally, the rails should be extended behind the pool so that the pool enclosure can be moved completely behind the pool away from the water surface. In addition to the standard two-rail pool enclosures, there are those that have a groundrail on only one side of the pool. An example of this would be the Viva pool enclosure. You then have wheelchair access to the pool from three sides.

Style of the Enclosure

Depending on your taste, you can choose between a different pool enclosure shapes. There is a classic rounded shape, modern angled shape or a combination of the two. Very popular is the Ravena pool enclosure, which goes from streight wall on one side of the pool to an arch on the other side. This allows comfortable movement under the enclosure along one side of the pool.

Type of polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a unique type of thermoplastic that has excellent mechanical, optical and thermal properties. Compared to glass, it has up to 200 times better impact resistance. The enclosure frames are fitted with 8 mm or 10 mm twin-walled, four-walled or 3-4 mm solid polycarbonate panels. Four-walled polycarbonate has the best insulation properties. Full 3-4 mm thick polycarbonate panels has the best optical properties. They can be used in the whole structure or only in selected parts of the enclosure (for example the front walls). They all have a UV resistance filter to protect against UV radiation from sunlight.

The colours of the enclosure

You can choose from several colours for our highly durable aluminium profiles. According to the frequency of our customers' choices, the most popular colour is anthracite, but bronze is also popular. Silver or white is also available as standard. All colours are powdered comaxit and the profiles with the paint go through a firing process. This ensures their resistance to mechanical damage and adhesion to the material.  On customer's request, we can also supply roofing profiles in other colours from the RAL colour chart.

The colour of polycarbonate is most often transparent or smoke. The ground rails can be silver or bronze.
